How does pumpkin picking work at Ferme Marineau?

1) What do I do when I arrive?

From the Dagenais Boulevard parking lot, follow the signs for U-pick to the marquee.

The admission fee gives you access to the entire site, including the corn maze, pumpkin fields, giant games, singer-songwriter performances, photo stations, landscaped park, mini-farm, picnic areas, and Café Marineau. Pumpkin U-pick is optional and at an additional cost.

Please note that credit cards, debit cards, and cash are accepted.

2) Are the pumpkin patches very far?

To make pumpkin picking and transport easier, we've provided wheelbarrows and the fields are located almost at the entrance. It's up to you to decide how far you want to walk after that to pick them. You are obviously welcome to bring your strollers or large-wheeled carts.

3) Is picnicking allowed?

Several picnic areas are set up in the field and in the park, and you are welcome to bring your own blankets.

Didn't bring snacks? Several options are available. Discover our Café Marineau, built in the heart of the fields, offering its gourmet menu, mocktails, beers, and its famous sangria (This café is reserved for people participating in activities in the fields (please check our social media to confirm it is open during your visit).

Alternatively, feel free to make a detour to our Farmer's Market; you're sure to find something you'll love there.

Craving something sweet or a refreshing drink? Our artisan ice cream parlor is a must-visit, with its inimitable delights made with fruits from our fields.

4) Does it still work in the rain?

Rain does not necessarily cause a closure. We invite you to visit our social media (Facebook, Instagram) to confirm or to contact us.

5) Can we bring our dog?

Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on site.

6) Singer-songwriter schedule

On Saturdays, Sundays, and certain public holidays, enjoy live music from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

HOW TO CHOOSE AND MAXIMIZE THE PRESERVATION OF YOUR PUMPKIN?

Preferably, choose a firm pumpkin free of blemishes. Once carved, the pumpkin will not keep as long. If you keep it outside, avoid leaving it in direct sunlight or rain.

Furthermore, the internet is full of delicious sweet and savory recipes to prepare your harvest, so don't hesitate to give it a try! You can also dry the seeds and freeze the flesh.
